This hand-held spin-pull to pressure tool has full process monitoring. The spin-pull to pressure control allows the tool to install the POP NUT in multiple or variable thickness materials without adjustment. The control module can be linked to a fixture to hold the part until all POP NUT parts are counted and installed correctly.
SmartSet® is a relative process monitoring device which can be used for evaluating and onitoring a POP® brand pull stem blind riveting cycle.
A micro-strain sensor on the rivet tool takes readings during the rivet setting cycle and sends data real time to the control unit.
In RUN mode, the system will monitor each sequential rivet set and compare results with learned settings to determine a GO or NO GO result.
Outputs from the Control Unit can be connected to an audible or visual alarm to alert the user to NO GO results.
Historical information can be downloaded and tracked via a PC based system.
